Frequently asked questions
What is an "idle game"?
An "idle game" is a type of game that doesn't require constant, active participation from the player. In fact, the term "idle" comes from the idea that you can leave the game running in the background, and your in-game characters or progress will continue to grow or advance even when you're not actively playing.
In an idle game, players often start with simple tasks or actions, like clicking on the screen to earn some in-game currency. As you accumulate this currency, you can then use it to automate certain actions or unlock upgrades. The game essentially runs itself, and your role as a player becomes more about making strategic decisions on upgrades or advancements rather than continuously interacting with the game.
Idle games are designed to be relaxing and less demanding on your time compared to other types of games. They are also known as "incremental games" because the gameplay typically involves gradually increasing numbers, achievements, or resources over time. It's a genre that caters to players who enjoy seeing progress unfold, even if they're not actively engaged in every moment of the game.
Why we picked the term "Smart money" for the name of the game?
"Smart money" refers to funds or investments made by knowledgeable and experienced investors who are considered well-informed and strategic in their financial decisions. These investors often have a good understanding of the market trends, economic conditions, and specific industries. They are called "smart money" because their investment decisions are based on thorough research, analysis, and a deep understanding of the factors that can affect the performance of an investment.
In contrast, "dumb money" is a term sometimes used to describe less informed or inexperienced investors who may make decisions based on emotions, rumors, or trends without a solid understanding of the underlying factors influencing the market.
So, when people talk about "smart money," they are often referring to investments made by individuals or institutions with a reputation for making well-informed and strategic financial decisions.
That said, we thought it would be fitting to use it as the game will be not simply just idle, but also include various setups to make "smart" decisions.
What is an "idle 2.0" game?
We defined the term idle 2.0 game as the next generation of that genre, something that extends the limited range of gameplay and adds something more exciting to the experience.
Our approach is to use the basic idea of an idle game and build various features on top and make it overall more interactive, still without demanding too much action from the player.
E.g. Imagine the progress bars and in-game achievements being influenced by not only clicking but by making smart decisions from time to time, like answering game and progress related questions that could speed up progress. That doesn´t change the underlying gameplay but adds another layer to it.
Another example is the implementation of the move-and-earn feature. Imagine a demand for walking 5.000 steps a day to unlock an achievement, receive a speed-booster in one of your progress bars or get an in-game asset that provides more ways to personalize your venture
What is "Move-and-earn"?
It´s the concept of incentivizing people by engage them in physical exercise, like walking, running, or hiking as part of a healthier lifestyle. In our game, it will look like e.g. walk 5.000 steps to unlock a certain achievement or get a special booster when you walk your 5.000 steps every day for 5 days in a row.
It will be implemented in a logical manner, since you also need to do a lot of real-life footwork when starting a business.
Why using the Blockchain technology?
Our in-game currency is depicted as digital tokens but we give them real life value. We connect the in-game tokens to real live ones on the blockchain to make them tradeable for other assets there and vice versa.
Example: You got 10 Millionen "SMRTY" token, so you can connect your game account to the blockchain and exchange them in on-chain token, which again could be traded for USD coins That should also work in the other direction to provide people an additional access point to in-game assets like NFTs or boosters.
Why the need for NFTs to be able to play?
Because this is not web2, but web3 and you own your in-game assets, which also means you can sell them on our marketplace.
In web2, you buy the game, play, but never own your assets or have any additional benefit from it. In web3, the entry-price is similar but you never own your in-game assets, which means they get lost if you de-install the game.
We live in the age of blockchain and we believe to reap the benefits of that technology should be shared with everyone and that in a playful manner.
So, yes, NFTs are necessary but in the long run, you´ll highly benefit from them.
When will the token be released? Are airdrops planned?
There is currently no fixed date written in stone about when the "Smart Money" token TGE will happen, but if you follow us on our Social Media channels you are the first to know! ;-)
A good smart contract including extensive backtesting isn´t written and battle-tested within a few days, therefore we won´t promise anything yet. Also audits need to be done to go as safe es possible when the token is finally released.
Regarding Airdrops, yes they are definitely part of the plan. Those who bought an early access NFT will benefit most, but there will also be a competition and promotional activities that will drop more tokens.
