Alpha Summary

The Alpha was our first playable "Hello" to the world, and as such, it was limited in its features. However, despite being a simple tap-to-earn game, we successfully introduced the lore, protagonist, and overall stylistic direction.

Following the Alpha's release, we gathered feedback via Twitter, Telegram, and email. In total, over 150 players engaged with the game, with some even managing to reach Level 6 faster than expected by intensively tapping almost every hour to accelerate their progress. Since there was no additional promotion dedicated to the Alpha release, and no added incentives like token airdrops, it’s clear that players were genuinely interested in the game and its potential.

In conclusion: The Alpha provided us with the necessary traction to approach potential partners for the Beta version.

Beta Version Goals

A - Enhanced Storyline: While the Alpha was a basic introduction to the protagonist, the Beta will feature the full lore, including the introduction of friends and foes. The "rags-to-riches" theme will be prominently showcased, with a strong emphasis on an overall positive mood and a lighthearted tone in interactions.

B - AI Integration: With the introduction of additional characters comes AI-generated business incidents. These incidents will be tailored by the AI to match the specific characteristics of the villains and the player's reactions, creating a unique experience for each player. Depending on the player’s responses, the game will adjust in difficulty, ensuring that solving challenges is fun and not frustrating, regardless of skill level.

C - Blockchain Integration: The blockchain integration will introduce our novel in-game currency to on-chain token exchange, making it profitable for both new players and early adopters. By staking NFTs and interacting with the game, players will earn in-game Fortune Dollars, which can be exchanged for on-chain #SMRTY tokens.

D - Gameplay Mechanics: In the Beta, we expand the scope of interaction from a single character to the entire city of "Willows Creek." Players will navigate a city map, choosing buildings to enter and interact with progress bars within. These must be leveled up to unlock achievements and other progress bars in different buildings, following a logical business growth progression. Additionally, players will encounter business incidents caused by our villains, which they must solve based on their gameplay choices

Development Process

A - Pre-Development (month 1): Refining the game design with our partners, defining technical specifications, and briefing the development team.

B - Development Phase 1 (months 2 - 5): Building out core features, such as AI mechanics and the expanded virtual environment. This phase also includes integrating blockchain technology, refining gameplay and optimizing performance.

C - Testing & Iteration (month 6): Conducting thorough playtesting, collecting feedback, and making necessary adjustments.

D - Beta Launch (month 7): Releasing the Beta version to a limited audience to gather final feedback before the full launch.

Go-To-Market

Objectives: Build Beta, expand user base, incorporate monetization, and prepare for global launch and optionally preparing for IDO / NFT sale.

1st Half Strategy:

  • Partnership Outreach: Reach out to potential partners for the next iteration of the game, focusing on securing funding opportunities as well as promotional and technical partnerships.

  • Community Engagement and Retention: Enhance community engagement and retention by organizing quests and tournaments, maintaining a leaderboard, providing lore updates, and offering rewards to the most active users.

2nd Half Strategy:

  • Content and Feature Updates: Regularly release new content, quests, and lore updates to keep the game fresh and engaging.

  • Advanced Blockchain Features: Introduce advanced blockchain features, such as the in-game currency to on-chain token exchange mechanism and NFT staking.

  • Global Expansion: Launch the Beta with localized features and partner with local influencers and gaming communities to broaden reach.

  • Monetization Optimization: Implement and refine monetization strategies, including in-app purchases and premium features.

  • Data-Driven and User Feedback-Based Improvements: Use analytics to identify key engagement and revenue metrics, making improvements based on user feedback.

Conclusion

Alpha Recap: The Alpha was our first "Hello" to the world. Despite having no dedicated promotion, it attracted over 150 players, received positive feedback, and provided the basic traction needed to move forward with the Beta.

Road to Beta Next Steps: The first step is to find the right partners and secure the necessary resources to build the Beta in the best way possible. While the development team is already confirmed, the next priorities are finding the right blockchain and AI partners to collaborate with.
